Bring the letter. We will read it.
Your plan’s Annual Notice of Change arrives by September 30. Bring it in or forward it to us. It shows what is changing, and we will go through it with you.
What we check
- Next year’s premium.
- Whether each prescription is still on the drug list and at what price.
- Whether your pharmacy is still preferred.
- Whether your doctors and hospital are still in the network.
- The yearly out-of-pocket limit.
- Whether you used the dental, vision or hearing extras.
A clear answer, in writing
Every review ends with a one-page letter: stay where you are, or switch and why. Most years the answer is stay, and that is worth knowing too.
One more window
From January 1 to March 31, someone in a Medicare Advantage plan can switch once to another Advantage plan or go back to Original Medicare.
